The fabric cover of this pregnancy pillow is made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton, so it basically has the advantages and disadvantages of both fabrics, though it will be more inclined towards polyester.

Polyester is a more durable and flexible material. On the other hand, it is not as breathable and cool as cotton. However, because the cover is partly made from cotton, the downsides of polyester should be somewhat evened out.

The same goes for cotton: it is soft and breathable but not very durable. It also takes much more time for cotton to dry. So basically, you should be getting a good balance of comfort, coolness, and durability from the cover of the Leachco Back ‘N Belly Original pregnancy pillow.

Needless to say, the cover of this pregnancy pillow can be removed for machine washing.
The filling of this pregnancy pillow is made from polyester fiber, just like in the vast majority of the pillows we reviewed. Thereby, you probably won’t see much difference in terms of the filling quality.

The Back ‘N Belly Original U-shaped pregnancy pillow is quite a short pillow, measuring 51 inches long. On the other hand, it is about 33 inches wide, which is more than in most of the pillows we reviewed. This means that the Original pillow should be appropriate for shorter women, but it also will leave less sleeping area for your bed partner.

When it comes to softness, the Back ‘N Belly Original pregnancy pillow is somewhere in between being firm and soft, but it is more on the soft side.

As soft and comfy as this pillow is, it has one major downside that may become a deal breaker for you. The thing is that the seam on the inner side of the pillow’s head appears to be rather rough, which caused discomfort in the neck of some users.

Sure, you could readjust your position or alternatively cover the seam area with something, but the main problem with this is that you need to worry about it in the first place. You could also buy a new cover for this pregnancy pillow, but that would be costly.

Another problem that we have also seen in some of the other pregnancy pillows we reviewed is that you can’t easily add filling to the pillow since it doesn’t provide you with any access to it.

And lastly, this pillow is quite expensive, even though it is quite a small pillow. However, we think that the material quality makes up for it, so the Back ‘N Belly pillow is certainly worth the money.
